Flower Arranging Workshop by Pavement Blooms
I spend most of my days in front of a laptop, I thought it would be nice to do something creative, learn a new skill, and meet people. That’s how I found Pavement Blooms and their Build-a-Bloom: An Afternoon Bloom Social. It was recommended to me by someone from Threads!
The workshop was beginner-friendly, so I didn’t need any prior experience. We were given fresh flowers and all the materials we needed to create our own arrangements.
I used carnations, gerbera, baby’s breath, and a few other flowers whose names I’ve already forgotten (haha!). It was fun seeing how the different colors and textures came together to create a bouquet of my own. There were only three participants that afternoon, which made the experience feel more intimate. We were also welcomed with coffee and received a surprise gift! Such a thoughtful touch.

I’d say this workshop is a great way to try flower arranging for the experience, especially if you’re curious about it but don’t know where to start. If you’re considering flower arranging as a business, joining an introductory workshop like this could also be a good first step before investing in more advanced or expensive classes. It’s a chance to explore your interest and see if you enjoy the process.
I also shared more photos of my flower-arranging experience over on Instagram. 🌷
Would I Recommend It?
Definitely! I enjoyed having an afternoon dedicated to something creative, away from my usual routine. I also appreciate local flower businesses that share their craft and passion by creating experiences like this for others.
It’s a lovely activity to try on your own or with a friend, especially if you’ve been wanting to explore a new hobby.
Sometimes, all you need is an afternoon, some flowers, and the willingness to try something new. 🌷
